General Optics, a member of the GSI Group, is a manufacturer of ultra-precision optical components. Our company was founded in Moorpark, CA in 1974 with the purpose of providing cutting edge optics to the Defense, Aerospace, Semiconductor, Medical, and Research markets.

Over the years we have developed proprietary manufacturing processes that allow us to achieve surface roughness of better than 1 Angstrom on a variety of materials including Zerodur, BK-7, Fused Silica, Silicon, Sapphire, and Silicon Carbide. We have also developed unique IBS coating designs for high reflection and low loss coatings. In addition, we have the capability to provide many standard metal and dielectric optical coatings either on our standard substrates or customer supplied material.
